Lay-em All Masons was founded in 1995 with a single conviction â that natural stone, set by skilled hands, produces work that outlasts every other building material and grows more distinguished with age. For close to thirty years, we have been commissioned by homeowners, estate managers, landscape architects, and facilities professionals across Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana to execute work that reflects that conviction.
Our reputation was built project by project â limestone terrace by limestone terrace, fireplace by fireplace, pavilion by pavilion â never through shortcuts or subcontracted crews. The same craftsman-led approach that defined our first commissions in 1995 defines every project we take on today.

Each of the materials we build with has its own structural character, weathering profile, and aesthetic register. Cut limestone delivers crisp, formal geometry suited to grand steps, coping, and terrace borders. Sandstone offers warm, layered texture ideal for casual garden walls and naturalistic veneer. Fieldstone brings the irregular, handpicked quality that no manufactured product can replicate. Cast stone provides the detail precision required for columns, capitals, and architectural trim. Brick anchors outdoor fireplaces and veneer systems where fired clay's thermal mass and color richness are called for.
Hand-selecting material from each delivery - reading the vein, weight, and face of each piece before placement - is the part of the craft most mass-market contractors have eliminated. We have not.
